From the report of the 19th CPC National Congress to the Central Conference on Rural Work, as well as a series of speeches on rural revitalization by General Secretary Xi Jinping, we can see that the rural revitalization strategy for the new era is a great strategy based on new thinking, new concept and new ideas. At present, we must stand on the height of the new era and explore a road of rural revitalization most suitable for contemporary China with new development concept. The purpose of this “International Conference on Rural Revitalization and Oriental Design” is to discuss with senior domestic and foreign experts, research scholars and pioneers from the fields of art, design, science and humanities about how the theories and methods of Oriental design can serve the national strategy of rural revitalization. As the chairman of the Oriental Design Forum — professor Zhou Wuzhong claims, how to tell a good rural industry’s “east side story” in the process of rural reconstruction, show the rural characteristics’ “Oriental style”, reflect rural products’ “Oriental spirit”, build the “Oriental” rural environment, the “Oriental design” to “country revitalization” the importance of self-evident.
